Description
Imagine a jacket hanging there on the hook in the hallway. A jacket that's always just right. A jacket you wear under your winter coat on those really cold days, a jacket you wear under a thinner one on those chilly spring and autumn days, a jacket you quickly put on and feel wonderfully fresh and crisp in. That's the Uhips Wool Hybrid Liner Jacket.
Thanks to wool's excellent insulating properties, we've made the garments relatively thin and flexible while keeping you warm. The jacket features two hand pockets, a chest pocket, extended sleeves with wrist warmers, and thumb holes.
The colours are the same as in our other winter collection, allowing you to mix and match.
Features
Family
Uhips Wool Hybrid Liners are mid-layers with wool filling, or as we like to call them, "wool hybrids." The name is based on their construction with two different materials; the windproof, diagonally quilted panels with wool filling on the front, back, and upper parts of the sleeves and the stretchy fleece panels on the sides. The wool padding provides cosy warmth where it's most appreciated, and the stretch material offers freedom of movement where needed.
Thanks to wool's excellent insulating properties, we've made the garments relatively thin and flexible while keeping you warm. The wool in all our products comes from the German manufacturer lavalan and is traceable back to Europe.
The coats in the Liner family have features for attaching to our Regular Sport, Urban Stretch, and Trench coats. This way, you extend the season for your favourite garments. Additionally, a mid-layer jacket is included in the Wool Hybrid Liner family.
Materials
Shell:
Light Polyamide, 100% Polyamide, Ripstop with a shiny surface.
Light but durable material made from Polyamide. Ripstop construction with a shiny surface
Bionic Finish ECO Fluorocarbon free DWR
Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes of RUDOLF GROUP to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.
Liner Stretch 75D, 95% Polyester, 5% Elastane
Stretch material made from Polyester with an anti-pilling construction and brushed backside for a warm feeling.
Natural insulation:
Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic and wool insulations is that they keep the heat even in wet condition, and it dries quickly. Wool also heats in a wet state and regulates temperature, has odour resistance and is a natural alternative. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
Lavalan Sport 120gsm, 82% Virgin Wool, 18% Polylactide,
Lavalan Sport 90gsm, 80% Virgin Wool, 20% Polylactide
Natural fabrics like wool are made of animal or plant-based fibres, while synthetics are man-made. Most natural fabrics are biodegradable, moisture-wicking, breathable, flexible, heat-responsive, naturally repellent against mould and soil, and environmentally friendly.
Lining:
uhip Embossed Logo Lining, 100% Recycled Polyester
All Uhip products are made with 100% recycled Polyester, 38gsm. Recycled polyester is made from recycled materials (PET and polyester fabrics). By choosing recycled polyester, we can deliver the same technical performance in fibres with a smaller environmental footprint.
