A warm and weather-resistant riding skirt for the winter season. This riding skirt boasts a sporty look and features waterproof properties such as taped seams and a 7000 mm waterproof rating.

The skirt fits true to size and features an adjustable waist for a perfect fit.

Description

The Ice collection consists of equestrian winter clothing suitable for riders who spend a lot of time outdoors. Its insulation is made of synthetic down, which retains its warming properties even in damp conditions. The garments keep you warm and endure precipitation.

Wearing the sporty Ice look, you are made visible in the dark thanks to the reflective details in the design.

Pair the thermal skirt with an Ice jacket in the same color for a flexible alternative to a long coat.

The riding skirt - an invention by Uhip

The riding skirt is Uhip's true classic, designed to keep the rider warm in the saddle without bulky overpants. By unzipping the two-way zipper at the front and the zipper at the back, you can sit in the saddle while the skirt hangs down, keeping your thighs warm. Inside the skirt, there are leg straps that you can fasten around your thighs to keep the skirt in place.

Designed for equestrians

Putting on and taking off the skirt is effortless with the two-way zipper at the front. Thanks to the skirt's detachable upper part, you never have to struggle with pulling it over dirty shoes; you can even remove it while sitting in the saddle. It's perfect for taking off after warm-up and putting on when it's time to cool down.

  • Materials

    Shell:

    7/5 Bonded Polyester 2-layer
Polyester Ripstop with a matt surface and bonded quilting. The TPU membrane will provide high waterprotection and breathability.

    100% Polyester
Polyester has exceptional colour resistance and retains colour intensity very well. Other benefits are its high tolerance to many chemicals and extremely low water absorption (for example, when you perspire, the material releases moisture into the air instead of absorbing it. Uhip is aiming to use only recycled polyester in future.

    WP: 7 000 mm
Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

    MP: 5000g/m2/24h
Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day.

    Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Bionic Finish ECO Fluorocarbon free DWR
Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes of RUDOLF GROUP to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.

    Insulation:
Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet condition and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
