This longer weather-resistant autumn and winter coat is a stylish and understated option, whether you are in town or walking through the woods. The design offers plenty of smart storage options with room for your accessories. This deceptively lightweight jacket covers your rear, and helps to keep you warm when the weather turns.

The coat fits true to size, thanks to its stretchy material. Choose a larger size for layering purposes. Nell is 175 cm tall and wears size 36.

Description

The jacket offers two large front pockets with flaps along with two large open side-access front pockets lined with a soft and comfortable fleece. The sleeves includes wrist warmers with turn-up buttoned cuffs that can be easily folded down over the hands to add protection from wet and cold, perfect when holding the leash. This popular feature is a hit with dog owners as it protects the hands from the weather when holding the leash, and keeps gloves from becoming too wet.

The slightly straighter jacket is made from highly wind and rain resistant stretchy material, offering excellent comfort. The design includes a high comfortable collar with soft liner which, combined with the length of the jacket offers unparalleled heat retention when the weather turns chilly.

Shell:
10/10 Recycled Polyester, 2-layer,
Material made from Recycled Polyester with Mechanical Stretch. TPU Membrane to provide high waterprotection and breathability.

100% Polyester
Polyester has exceptional colour resistance and retains colour intensity very well. Other benefits are its high tolerance to many chemicals and extremely low water absorption (for example, when you perspire, the material releases moisture into the air instead of absorbing it. Uhip is aiming to use only recycled polyester in future.

Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day.

Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Bionic Finish ECO Fluorocarbon free DWR
Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes of RUDOLF GROUP to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.

Insulation:
Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet conditions and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.

See DuPont™ Sorona® is a synthetic insulation focused on sustainability made from annually renewable plant-based ingredients. DuPont™ Sorona® fibres are produced with a patented technology that provides lightweight, breathable warmth with a soft feeling and has superior compression and recovery. It is quick drying and also has the benefit of keeping you warm even if it gets wet. DuPont™ Sorona® fiber/ polymer is Oeko-Tex® certified.
