The popular Urban Stretch Coat is now available in a shorter version, a "mid coat". The weatherproof autumn and winter riding coat is stylish and classic in its simplicity. Despite being quite thin, the coat's insulation keeps you warm in cold weather. Additionally, the 10,000 mm water column and the taped seams ensure you stay dry. The coat has many large smart pockets with plenty of space for your accessories. This seemingly thin riding coat will keep you both warm and dry when autumn brings bad weather.

The coat fits true to size, thanks to its stretchy material. Choose a larger size for layering purposes. Amanda is 178 cm tall and wears size 36.

Description

The coat has two large front pockets with flaps and two open hand pockets with side openings with soft and warming fleece lining. The sleeves are designed with wrist warmers, and the cuffs can be easily folded down to protect your hands from moisture and cold. When not folded down, they are secured with a button, adding a stylish detail to the jacket.

The insulation is a technical material with excellent warming properties due to its ability to reflect your body heat. The outer fabric has some stretch and features a membrane that resists rain and wind, and to ensure rain stays on the outside, the coat has taped seams. The high, comfortable collar with soft lining, together with the length of the coat, encloses the heat and ensures that your body heat keeps you warm without the air escaping.

By opening up the two-way zip at the front and the slit at the back, you can sit in the saddle while the coat hangs down and warms your legs. The inside of the coat is equipped with leg straps that can be fastened around your thighs to keep the garment in place.

With Uhip's clever made-to-match button solution, you can easily attach our Wool Hybrid Liner Coat to the inside of the coat. With the warm and functional reinforcement garment, you get a warm winter coat.

Shell:
10/10 Recycled Polyester, 2-layer,
Material made from Recycled Polyester with Mechanical Stretch. TPU Membrane to provide high waterprotection and breathability.

100% Polyester
Polyester has exceptional colour resistance and retains colour intensity very well. Other benefits are its high tolerance to many chemicals and extremely low water absorption (for example, when you perspire, the material releases moisture into the air instead of absorbing it. Uhip is aiming to use only recycled polyester in future.

WP: 10 000mm
Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day.

Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes of RUDOLF GROUP to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.

Insulation:
Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet conditions and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.

It is quick drying and also has the benefit of keeping you warm even if it gets wet. DuPont™ Sorona® fiber/ polymer is Oeko-Tex® certified.
