Weather and wind protection
With a water column of 3000 mm and taped seams, the Nordic offers some protection against precipitation while primarily designed to provide warmth.
Stylish and functional fit
Nordic includes long and mid-length coats, jackets, and skirts, all designed to be form-fitting without feeling tight. They are quilted with wide, full channels and rich colours. The fabric has a pearlescent-like, beautifully shimmering surface. The wide, plush channels in the quilting, along with the rich colours and pearl-like surface, provide an exclusive and appealing look.
The garments we call Nordic are really warm, keeping you warm to about -15 degrees, and the insulation maintains its function even in damp environments.
In addition to keeping you warm, Nordic also have certain built-in protection against precipitation. So, you'll be fine for outdoor activities in rugged environments, even though they are primarily designed for cold weather. Our Nordic family consists of coats in two different lengths, jackets and thermal skirts, all of which have a well-fitted, stylish design without being tight. They are quilted with wide, full channels, and the colours are rich. The fabric has a pearlescent-like, beautifully shimmering surface.

Polyamide is a lightweight material that is stronger than polyester in relation to its weight. Also referred to as Nylon. Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.
Insulation:
Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet condition and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
