The riding jacket's select lightweight, fluffy and warm insulation together with Uhip's proven, figure-hugging shape gives you great mobility and makes the jacket perfect both in the saddle and the stables.

Description

The new Ally family includes many different items. The look is inspired by our successful Frost family, with a muted and matt material, practical yet stylishly quilted with tape. The Frost collection has more insulation than Ally but is still very flexible and easy to move about in, both when in the saddle and working in the stable. The sporty design of Ally fits perfectly with Uhip's proven, figure-hugging shape.

Among the features are a removable hood, a two-way zip you can adjust as needed, a slightly higher soft collar to keep out the cold and wind, and two roomy pockets with a warm fleece lining and zip. The jacket keeps you exactly as warm as you want, as you choose what to wear underneath. Take a look, for example, at the stylish and flexible vest in the Ally family, or our many warm, soft merino wool layers, which we believe have the world's best properties as both base and middle layers.

Shell:

3/3 Polyester 2-layer
2-layer Polyester weave with a matt surface and bonded quilting. The TPU membrane will provide waterprotection and breathability.

100% Polyester
Polyester has exceptional colour resistance and retains colour intensity very well. Other benefits are its high tolerance to many chemicals and extremely low water absorption (for example, when you perspire, the material releases moisture into the air instead of absorbing it. Uhip is aiming to use only recycled polyester in future.

WP: 3 000 mm
Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day.

PFOA/PFOS free DWR
Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes to achieve water-repellent effects.

Insulation:

Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet condition and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
